Fig Elk Grove

We came across this variety while installing a new landscape for one of our clients in Elk Grove, CA. We just tried the first ripe fruit. It may be a Kadota. Looks similar. Until that's confirmed we'll call it Elk Grove. It is a yellow variety. We took cuttings from the client's tree with their permission of this massive tree that was about 20 high and 30' wide. A truly beautiful tree standing alone in a field of grass. The owner's claimed the tree had been there at last for 50 years since the home was built. We will update information here as it becomes available.
