Frequently asked questions

  • We ship all plants securely in custom packaging designed to protect roots, foliage, and soil during transit. Each plant is watered, wrapped, and stabilized to arrive healthy and ready to plant.

  • We ship most of the year, but certain heat waves, cold snaps, or holidays may cause brief pauses to protect plant health.

  • We currently ship only within California. We will be shipping to most Western states soon.  We follow all agricultural regulations. Some states have restrictions on certain species; these will be noted on each product page.

  • Most plants are shipped in standard 1‑gallon, tree pots, or premium 4‑inch tall nursery pots. Some plants may ship in slightly smaller or slightly larger containers. Product pages list exact pot size for each plant. To reduce our environmental impact, we reuse pots.

  • If a plant arrives in poor condition, contact us within 48 hours with photos at contact@theplantedseednursery.com. We’ll replace or refund the plant depending on the situation.

  • Orders typically ship within 2 weeks or as seasonal conditions allow. Transit time is usually 1–4 days depending on your location.
