California Hibiscus (Woolly Rose Mallow)

California Hibiscus is a rare native perennial herb, found in central California in the Sacramento Valley and San Joaquin Valley. It makes beautiful large white flowers with deep pink centers and grows up to 3-6 feet tall. This native is being threatened due to habitat loss.

This California native does best in places with summer heat and it requires a moderate amount of water as it is normally found in marshes and wet places. Can be grown in containers to better meet its needs. Its showy blooms attract pollinators throughout the growing season, supporting local ecosystems. Perfect for restoration projects or adding authentic California flora to your garden, California Hibiscus celebrates regional biodiversity. By planting this species, you help preserve a threatened native and create habitat for native wildlife.
