Austin Griffiths Manzanita

A hybrid between A. densiflora ‘Sentinel’ and A. manzanita ‘Dr. Hurd’, Austin Griffiths Manzanita is a large evergreen shrub with dark maroon-red bark and sage-green leaves. It produces clusters of small, pale pink flowers that bloom in fall and winter. As one of the earliest blooming manzanitas, it provides a valuable nectar source for hummingbirds, bees, and other pollinators. Can be grown as a shrub or a small tree.
